(Senior) Account Manager (m/f/d) Enterprise & Service Provider
Your tasks
You're not a salesperson. You're the reason customers sign on.
Maybe you’ve already closed major deals involving twelve stakeholders, three competing bidders, and a procurement team that negotiates right up to the last minute. Or maybe you’re on your way there and looking for a platform that matches your ambition. In either case, the same principle applies: You don’t stop at the contract—you use it to build customer relationships that grow over the years.
Then you should talk to us.
Xantaro plans, builds, and operates the networks that keep Germany connected. Our clients are the largest carriers, service providers, and industrial companies in Germany and Europe. We’re looking for Account Managers and Senior Account Managers to take over existing accounts, expand them, and win new ones. Your experience—not your previous title—determines the level at which you’ll start.
- You'll manage your accounts as if they were your own business—withyour own clients, your own goals, and the freedom to set your own strategy.
- You build relationships that make a difference. From department heads to CTOs, C-level executives in technology, and procurement managers: You’ll be the go-to person when it comes to the future of their network infrastructure.
- You close deals— from projects to long-term framework and service agreements—from the initial qualification phase all the way to the signing.
- You think in terms of account plans rather than quarters. You identify opportunities with existing and new clients, develop strategic account and action plans, and implement them consistently.
- You sell solutions, not just hardware. Working closelywith Pre-Sales, Sales Support, and our Maintenance Services teams, you’ll put together packages combining technology, professional services, and managed services—for example, based on Juniper and other leading vendors.
- You negotiate as an equal. Whether it's proposals, contracts, or client presentations, you take the lead and come out on top.
Your profile
- Experience appropriate for the level: As an Account Manager, you have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in B2B sales or account management, ideally with IT or networking solutions that require detailed explanation. As a Senior Account Manager, you have at least 5 years of account management experience and a proven track record of closing deals with strategic clients on large-scale projects.
- Industry experience: Experience in the carrier and service provider sectors or in the sales of complex IT and network solutions. A must for senior positions; a clear advantage for account managers.
- A network that makes a difference: As a senior professional, you bring strong connections to decision-makers at clients and manufacturers. As an account manager, you’ll build your network with us in a targeted way.
- Methodology over gut instinct: solutionselling, buying center and stakeholder analysis, strategic account planning. Experience with MEDDICC, Challenger, or similar methods is a plus.
- Technical understanding: Youdon't need to know how to configure a network, but you understand why your client needs one and can speak the same language as their technicians.
- A "Closer" Mindset: You stay calm when the going gets tough, handle objections with confidence, and close deals.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: You act like an owner, not like an employee.
- Language: Fluent in German and proficient in English
- Education: College degree or vocational training (engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, business administration, or similar). Ultimately, though, what matters is what you've accomplished.
