
Network Specialist / 2nd-Level Support (m/f/d)
Your tasks
- You will be responsible for analyzing, addressing, and permanently resolving issues as part of second-level support.
- You are responsible for troubleshooting complex enterprise, carrier, and service provider networks in accordance with agreed-upon service level agreements.
- You'll work closely with customers, carriers, and field service partners and coordinate the necessary steps to find a solution.
- You will manage, maintain, and further develop our central monitoring platform, Infosim StableNet.
- You will conduct conference calls and remote sessions and coordinate communication among all stakeholders involved.
- You'll contribute your ideas, optimize existing processes, and develop creative solutions to technical challenges.
- You will support the operations of our XNOC by working shifts and being on call.
Your profile
- You have a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or telecommunications engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- You have several years of experience in the operation and troubleshooting of complex enterprise, carrier, or service provider networks, as well as—ideally—data center infrastructures.
- You have in-depth knowledge of routing and switching technologies and are familiar with VLAN, Spanning Tree, IP/IPv6, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, as well as Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPNs.
- Ideally, you have vendor certifications at the Specialist level (e.g., Juniper JNCIS-SP or JNCIS-ENT) or comparable qualifications.
- You analyze complex technical issues in a structured manner, take a solution-oriented approach to your work, and actively drive the continuous improvement of processes.
- You excel at teamwork, taking initiative, strong communication skills, and decision-making.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills round off your profile.
