Technical Consultant – Network & Observability (m/f/d)
Your tasks
- You will support clients during the early stages of a project (discovery/workshops) and develop technical solution concepts, demos, and proofs of concept.
- During client meetings, you’ll present our solutions and demonstrate how we deliver real value through network observability, automation, and intelligent analytics.
- You will work with our clients to develop modern network and monitoring architectures and then implement them—ranging from traditional monitoring setups to observability platforms.
- You integrate relevant data sources and logs (e.g., telemetry, SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog) and provide visibility into performance, anomalies, and bottlenecks.
- You will bring OT/IoT security as a second area of focus: asset visibility, risk and vulnerability transparency, and—where appropriate—segmentation approaches in OT/IoT-related environments.
- You’ll work hands-on with tools and platforms such as Kentik, NetBrain, and LogicMonitor, as well as Armis, Sematicon, and Akamai Guardicore in an OT/IoT context, and seamlessly integrate them into customer environments.
- You will take on responsibilities in IT projects, coordinate technical tasks, and ensure a structured implementation through to go-live.
- You will also assist customers with their questions, conduct training sessions, and provide support for our solutions.
Your profile
- You have successfully completed a degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable program.
- You are familiar with network technologies, LAN/WAN architectures, and TCP/IP, and you enjoy getting to grips with complex infrastructure topics.
- You’re familiar with terms like observability, telemetry, SNMP, NetFlow, and Syslog—or you’re eager to expand your knowledge in these areas.
- You have some initial experience with monitoring/observability or automation platforms (e.g., Kentik, NetBrain, LogicMonitor, or similar) or are interested in learning more about these topics.
- Ideally, you’re familiar with OT/IoT security topics (e.g., asset visibility, risk/vulnerability transparency, segmentation)—or you’re eager to dive deeper into these areas.
- Experience with Linux systems and/or scripting (e.g., Python, Bash/Shell) is a plus.
- You have a service-oriented approach, communicate clearly, and enjoy working with customers to develop sustainable technical solutions.
- Analytical thinking, a structured approach to work, and a hands-on attitude are among your strengths.
- Excellent German and English language skills, as well as a willingness to travel, round out your profile.
