Senior Network & Security Solutions Architect – Fortinet Expert (m/f/d)

Your tasks

Holistic design and implementation of modern network security architecturesConsulting and design of network security solutionsAnalysis of existing (SD-WAN) network infrastructures, identification of security requirements and risks, and development of customized security concepts for IT and network systems in close cooperation with the operating units and the customer.Identification of new technologies and trends (e.g., SASE, zero trust, AI-driven security & observability) Planning, implementation, and operation of security solutions Implementation, configuration, and integration of network security solutions such as firewalls, SD-WANs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems, as well as support for secure operation.Documentation, training, and further development of security strategies Creation of security documentation and presentations, training and support for customers and operating units on network security and best practices, and active participation in the continuous development of security strategies (including vulnerability and patch management) and solutions.Manufacturer communication & technology partnerships Direct technical exchange with leading manufacturers and technology partners Evaluation of new features, roadmaps, and integration options Participation in beta programs, tech previews, and strategic workshops Global infrastructure strategy Design and expansion of global shared infrastructures Standardization, automation, and scaling of network and security architectures Performance, availability, and security optimization in hybrid environments Pre-sales & technical customer communication Support for sales in complex customer requirements Creation of technical concepts, demos, and proof-of-concepts Presentation of new products and solutions at customer events and trade shows

Your profile

Completed degree in computer science, network technology, or comparable qualificationSeveral years of experience in the development or architecture of network and security solutionsIn-depth understanding of current technologies (e.g. SD-WAN, cloud networking, firewalls, SSE) Experience in working with Fortinet – Cisco and Meraki knowledge would be a plus Expertise in the areas of network automation (e.g., netbox, Ansible, Terraform) and monitoring Strong communication and presentation skills and a keen sense of customer needs Written and spoken German and English
